I think a lot of people are. I believe there is even a name for the condition. White coat hypertension or phobia?

I am always scared to see my doctor, I used to go a couple times a month, now I never go. After a while the doctor assistants knew I had super anxiety, so they used to call me into the back room instantly so I could wait in a room for the doctor to be ready. They were very nice to me. So it made going not so bad. Although it was still a chore to get up the courage to go out and go to the doctors.

I have never had a full male psychical still because I am terrified lol I have only had female physicians too... I get along better with girls.

Do you feel this all the time? If so it is most likely anxiety due to the unknown. It’s very common. Usually, this is worse if you present a new problem to a doctor. I hate going to my doctor, who I trust and have known for years. My chest gets tight and my heart races every time.

Could this be a fear or reluctance of discussing a mental health concern? If so, would it be easier to write out your concerns and present it to the doctor?

I find discussing mental health issues a lot harder than physical ones.

Sometimes the more we try to avoid tackling a task the worse it gets in our mind. Like the dentist. But once we face it and just do it we can move on. Then we feel better.

Right now fear and anxiety are just festering away.

Feel the fear but do it anyway you can.

I have the same problem. However, have you ever tried the online doctors, it is a slow way of desensitizing.. just a suggest. it helped me.

If it is a problem with knowing what to say, try writing everything that you want him to know down. Make a list and either read from thatt list or hand it to your doctor. If it is the exam, know that that is a fairly normal response. Not everyone is comfortable, since it is a very personal visit. Is it just this doctor, or do you feel this way with every doctor? Sometimes a change in doctors is all that you need. If you do like the doctor, you could mention that you get a little nervous on the visits. He should be understanding about it.
