Would you take Klonopin just in case before an interview or would you count on adrenaline to take care of the possibility of an anxiety attack? My problem is timing: lately I have been having unexplained anxiety in the afternoons, and the interview is scheduled for the afternoon. I am torn. I would like the added security of Klonopin but I am afraid that it blunts cognitive abilities. Any opinions? experiences?

I would take the klonopin as preventive! Better be safe then sorry, right?
I donīt mean that you should always take "preventatives" but in this case, I would.

Good luck on your task ahead.

My only question is when you take klonopin in afternoon NOT having a job interview does it make you sleepy or dull?
It's a tough call, no wonder 99 views & no responses.
Either way hope this afternoon goes really well.

Extra propranolol sounds better to me if you have it. It is commonly prescribed as a preventative for mgraines.

Hampster, any clue how interview went?
Or you won't know until call back for second interview?
Or letter of rejection, but I don't think that will happen.
Just wanted you to know we hadn't forgotten your big day.

Thank you! I ended up taking a quarter of a pill just in case as a preventive, and in hindsight I think it was the right choice - I had zero anxiety during the event. I answered questions well, but it does not guarantee anything: they are interviewing many other strong candidates. I will hear from them at some point, I gather, but not soon.

Thank you again!
