they think that they are looking for more than they actually are?

at times recently i've been getting anxious over really stupid things, and it's causing me to look for things that arn't their.

so i might go in my room and start looking for 5 disney cds, or i only have 4... or even worse- i start looking for a dvd on cricket and i don't actually have one.. but i'm that convinced i get all emotional if i can't find it

anyone else?

sounds like typical anxiety to me--getting all worked up over nothing. do you have any medication that you can use to calm yourself down? beta-blockers or xanax help me out of the frenzy.

i do, yes.

but it just seems like something diffrent- usually you get anxious over stuff that's going to happen, or stuff that you think is going to happen.. not stuff that does not even exist (even if i'm making sense!) which i'm probably not.

I know what you mean about getting worked up other nothing. Yesterday I went shopping with my mom at a antique store. The isles are so small I started to panic. I had to take a klonipin just to calm down. What made me panicky the most was brushing up against people I don't know.

Good luck

That is interesting. I don't know what you'd call that. Maybe just getting confused and then getting upset once you realize what your looking for wasn't there to begin with syndrome?

The brain is one funky machine for sure and it sounds like you might have an encoding problem. Encoding is how your brain files, or categorizes, info into long term memory. Your brain might be adding stuff that shouldn't be. Did you start or stop any meds lately? Or additional stressors added to you plate? Or more extremely, suffer any head trauma of late?

Im most likely wrong about the encoding theory but what you described is definitely something other than just anxiety.

Thanks for sharing !
