Pets should help. You won't feel so alone. I am not afraid of being alone, but still, it is nicer with cats around. They are worth the work you will put in.

It's normal to feel alone when something like this is happening to you. I agree with hamster that pets will help with this. Not only do they help with feeling alone, but they can also be a great tool for relieving anxiety. Anything that can occupy your mind is great for anxiety. Hope this helps!

I don't like to be alone in the house, and I used to be much worse about it. I find this site to be quite helpful, because I can talk to people, even live in the chat, so I don't feel so alone. I also agree pets can be helpful. Are you on any meds? I'm not saying you need to be on them, but they can help.

I feel the same way. My wife is gone a lot and the kids in school and I'm here alone. I hate it that she is gone so much so I can understand how you feel.
