Hey, just wanted to know if this would be classified as OCD, it seems like it to me but I don't know. 1st: I used to do really stupid rituals, like every time I put a glass down on the table, I would pick it up/put it down/pick it up, etc. for some reason. And after I close a door I would always have a need to keep touching the doorknob. That has sort of phased out, but now I always wash my hands everytime I touch something I think has germs, or is dirty in some way (which is A LOT of things for me). 2nd: Do you know if having a phobia of abnormally large objects has a name?

it does sound as if it could be OCD. a friend of mine was troubled with similiar patterns. she was given a med by her doctor and it helped her.
i have a thing about finding my house keys hours before i need them.....and i really get freaked about it......as for as the phobia of abnormally large things, i don't know. i googled it but didn't find anything.....you might try WebMd....good luck. |

It could be OCD, but I've read and heard that almost everyone has OC tendencies from time to time. The general rule is, if it's disrupting your life, it's a disorder.
Sorry, can't help you with the phobia name.
