I can't attend school, let alone leave the house. I had, somewhat, of a breakdown last year and it caused me to fail Year 11 (both Year 11/12 are essential to attend University/College) and therefore caused problems. That was about five months through the year and I just never thought about it, but now the new year has well and begun I am attending another school to try again. For the first week it was fine, I'll pass with honours easily if it was only a matter of intelligence, but it isn't and I won't. I couldn't sleep one night and now three weeks later I haven't gone back. I just can't do it, I can't summon the strength to go and I don't understand what has me so anxious. Just what am I supposed to do?

Have you seen a doctor yet? Or therapist?
It might be possible to take a medical leave while you work on things and work towards being able to leave the house and cope better. It sounds like you might be a year behind now, but know that long-term that really isn't that big of a deal.
hopefully someone wiser than myself will have something to add.
sending positive thoughts your way!

You're shuffling your life, not destroying it ... and that's okay. The school's counselors will figure it out. I'm guessing you've been transferred from your old school to your new school. That's good. Are you being homeschooled now? If so, then relax. You're fine. Just keep doing what you're doing!

good luck michael, i kind of feel the same.. not really been able to do much since my last suicide attempt which was in 2011.

i did go to a computer course, but it couldn't last- was told i had to leave because i was causing an unsafe atmosphere for not just me, but people around me.

so i too feel like my life's destroyed sometimes, but hey.. the way i see it, it could have been worse

Roadie has an outstanding way of understanding it.

Exactly. This is an important insight. Your path may vary from the norm, and as a result your long-term achievements may also exceed the norm.

Have you considered finishing up school online? It might not be the route you imagined for yourself but it might be the best way for now. You could focus on getting better. It sounds like being in a regular school is too overwhelming at the moment.
