Hello all, I have my first therapy session and I dont think I will go because my anxiety is at 10 right now. I wont sleep a wink thinking of different senarios that will come up. Also I don't want to sit there sobbing all through the session. Any advise would be greatefully appreciated.

Here is a scenario you might not have considered - you go to the appointment (even through you are anxious) and meet a therapist you really connect with and establish a supportive, helpful relationship. Just one idea ...
If the above doesn't happen, you can always choose another therapist. I've had several throughout my life, some better than others, but all of them had something to offer. |

Just go. Your logic is kind of like refusing to go to the ER because you're bleeding too badly

Yup, my advice is to "Go." Nothing else. I know that if you could suck up your anxiety then you wouldn't be going there, but now is a time to suck it up and do something you need to do for yourself.
