I'm sorry but I feel I have to live my life whether I want to or not. That I do not have a choice in the matter or was given one. How do you live your life when you are being forced to live it? Like now you must choose to acquire wealth, accept poverty or find the happy medium. What are you supposed to do when you feel you don't measure up or you can't. Anyway this is my post if it makes no sense. Hope it does not upset anyone.

I tend to not look at the bigger picture - it's very scary if you look at life as this huge thing you have to fill and make huge decisions in! I focus on the small things, the things I enjoy and am glad to live for - whether it's a cuppa tea or a night out with friends! Decide roughly where you want to be in a year or so, but take baby steps towards it.. Have a plan but don't let it overwhelm you! I set small things in motion when I am mentally upto it, muddle along, and then let life unfold - whilst keeping a keen eye on it now and then to make sure it isn't going in too bad of a direction!
I hope this helped somewhat, I have had very negative thoughts in the past concerning life and all it's huge decisions I am forced to make.. but the above is kinda what's pulled me through, and made life a less scary thing. |

Really? Cus by your name, character assassin, I would have thought you were more like me, being held back from fulfilling your destiny. Thwarted, declawed - then mocked. Whose character was assassinated, instead of being brought up, encouraged, taught, helped to handle the challenges of life? Instead of feeling like there are cliffs on either side, being brought along life's path.

I didn't ask to be born, I don't like being alive, and I should not have been born. I mean I'm only alive because doctors intervened. Nature said, "Dump this one. It won't work here." Nature was right. Now, as to "have to," well, you are an adult and you don't have to do anything in particular. But, yes, you reap the consequences of your actions combined with luck of the draw. How is it that you don't measure up? Never had a job? People fail? I have vanquished much of the people fail and still struggle with jobs. I've had them, even for a long time, but they destroy me. Because I don't belong here, it seems. Things that don't bother other people REALLY bother me, such as noises, smells, and certain kinds of illogical behaviour. So your post makes sense to me, but if you could tell me what the failure is I'd understand better. |

For me taking one day at a time, doing things I know I enjoy purely because I enjoy them. Though I do understand that this can be difficult when feeling depressed and unable to enjoy anything. But if there is even one thing that makes you feel better, whatever it may be (for me it is art, but it can be pretty much anything), then spend some time each day doing it.
I hope you find some relief soon. ![]()

Don't compare yourself with other then you don't
have to be concerned with measuring up. Besides everyone's situation is diff, we all have a diff deck of cards.
