The thought of the weekend ending and starting a new week always puts a knot in my throat. It has since i was a child in school. I have to deal with all my thoughts while trying to play cool at work now and look collected - really my brain is spinning about personal things as I try and make it through the day...so then I catch up to myself and start stressing about work and when the week will be over. Then I stress about the weekend and having time to fill and will I get things done at home or not. Will i have plans to keep me busy?I only take Xanax if it gets really bad and it doesn't help all that much.
It sounds ridiculous. I have a good life. Why do I have to keep reminding myself constantly so I can rid myself of anxiety to enjoy it?

I can totally relate to this. I have no ideas how to change it though. It makes it very hard to enjoy the full weekend. Sometimes I break time down into smaller increments and try and deal with that segment. Just know you are not alone.

Yes, I used to get that. I think mine also had it's roots in Monday morning back to class.

I had that most of my life, both as a student & as a teacher. Since I got out of teaching the feeling has dissipated; of course, when one is on SSDI, one day seems like any other.

I work from home and on my own time, so there's very little difference between weekday and weekend for me, but I've always felt funny on sundays. Not anxious, but lethargic and empty, and when it's really bad everything feels fake and surreal, and I still do some, even though I have no reason to.

I don't get A ton of anxiety Sunday night but I know what you're talking about. I feel Good Friday night because I know the work week is over. Saturday less so. Sunday I know it's over. Soon I'll be back to the torture.
