I constantly feel like something is wrong and I feel like I'm going to jump out of my skin. I feel like I'm going insane

It sounds like severe anxiety. Are you on any medications or under a doctor's care? I constantly struggle with feelings that something horrible is going to happen because I suffer from anxiety & depression & bipolar.

I do a lot of deep breathing, meditation, and I exercise a LOT-- just joined a gym a few months ago, and I take walks on my lunch breaks through a beautiful park that has lots of flowers & trees.

I am pretty lucky because I am married to a life coach, and he has CDs for various issues that I listen to when I am feeling stressed.

Have you tried reading any good life coaching books like Wayne Dyer? We quote him a lot to change our negative thinking patterns. Also-- pay attention to your diet, nutrition & how you are taking care of yourself. I recommend reading Dr. Daniel Amen, because he is a brain doctor basically who is not against medication but teaches all kinds of information on natural ways to take better care of your brain.

Good luck with your health, take good care of yourself

I've had that feeling, aziza. That sense of impending dom is awful. It sounds to me like you are experiencing a panic attack. You are NOT going crazy. Try to breathe deeply and picture yourself relaxing at a very special place....a calming place.

Sometimes relaxation techniques like this one and others can help. You can do a quick search for relaxation techniques and there will be many hits. If the one I described doesn't work for you, there may be another that you see and like.

Do you think calling someone close to you might help. You don't have to tell them how you're feeling...just have a conversation. Sometimes that helps.

I do hope you feel better soon. I've had panic attacks of varying strength and length of time.....they are miserable. But my hope for you is that you will find a way to control this feeling soon.

im feeling a little better. What a awful feeling though. I didn't think of it being a panic attack because normally they are much more severe for me. Seems like more often the not I feel like there is something wrong that will or is happening. I had been doing a little better at controlling it this past week guess it just caught up with me. I will try to imagine a calming place and going to make a call now. thanks

I agree with Ipod - if you think you are going crazy you aren't. You may be anxious but not crazy. Glad you are better.
Thanks for this!

I know the feeling--my main two problems are depression and anxiety; in fact, recently a psychologist was very adament about me NOT working because of that! Anyway, I hope you continue to feel better.
