I have done a fair amount of research on OCD and have a general understaning of this. It's very hard to have someone who doesn't have OCD to understand. Can someone please explain to me how OCD stops or how can I stop it. What are others symptons and how do you not feel embarrassed. OCD

Do you think you have it? and in that case what symptoms do you have?
yes it can be difficult to get a person that dont have it to understand it. The symptoms can be really weird, and that makes one feel ashamed of it and often suffering in silence. Help is needed to stop it, the best method have proven to be Cognitive Behaveour Therapy with medicin. You can read about it here in pc if you allready havent. Of course we shouldt feel embarresed, I found that the more I talk about it the easier it gets, but I dont talk about it to people that dont understand it. The symptoms can be so many, but if youve read about it you should allready know the most common ones?

Don't feel embarassed! You are not alone. I have OCD, and it can drive you mad. I do strange thing too. I talked to a counselor, and she is helping me learn ways to control my OCD. Its not easy, but it can be done! First step is seeking help! Hang in there!
