I don't know of any over the counter anxiety meds. I suffer from anxiety that causes problems with my memory and sleep too. I take meds that my psychiatrist has given me. Another thing that helps is deep breathing and focusing on relaxing my body. My fears, like yours about being accused, are often a result of my racing thoughts. The faster my thoughts the more I think about my fears and it snowballs out of control. I've dealt with some of the causes of my anxiety in therapy but I've also found out journalling about them helps even more. Somehow the process of writing them out helps me understand them and decreases their power over me........D.

My anxiety goes up whenever something bad just happened, because I tend to feel as though I had done the wrong myself. For me, it's possibly part of, or due to OCD self-doubt and unnecessary guilt on the Pure O side of things.
