Our anxieties and phobias are so specific and personal, it is a wonder why we develop the ones we do. What is even weirder, NOT having anxieties that others may have.

What are you NOT afraid of that others tend to be afraid of?

For me, I actually like pet snakes, rats, mice, lizards, etc. I'm not crazy about spiders but I would pick one up if you paid me.

Many things scare me - loud/unexpected sounds. spiders, snakes, heights.

Many things.

One thing that I am NOT afraid of is dying. I am totally ready and willing.

Swimming, or being near water (except for lakes that have fish in them). Other than that, I am happy as a clam when I'm near or in water. (near as in sitting on a float on top of it, or a water roller coaster)

I'm not afraid of animals (except earwigs), I'm not afraid of water or heights, I'm not afraid to travel to a new country solo, I'm not afraid to stand in front of a large group of people on stage (provided I'm not acting. Like... I ran a talent show at my school and had no problems MC'ing, but I could never have performed!), I CAN eat in a restaurant by myself but I feel really self-conscious about it, I'm not afraid of death.

Deep water, flying, crowds, weird foods, butchering small lifestock/cleaning fish, pet bugs, mice, rats, my neighbors (the bark is worse... LOL), germs, dust, the woods, most amusement park rides, thunderstorms (LOVEM!), moose, vomiting, immigrants....

Is it bad that I'm struggling to think of even one thing? I guess I'm not really afraid of thunderstorms, but even then as soon as there's a single threat of a tornado then I'm pretty much cowering in my basement crying.

Yeah, rodents and reptiles don't frighten me unless they startle me. Insects don't either, excluding wasps who have taken an interest in me or appear in large quantities. I'm all not generally afraid of germs from animals, but am afraid if germs from other people.

Just for my own sake I'll add those I didn't think of but others did. Not afraid of being alone, not afraid to have blood drawn, bugs are OK but ticks carry Lyme A LOT here and I'm bit right and left so I feel it's just a matter of time, if I don't already have it. If they carried nothing I wouldn't care much about the bite. Wasps are OK but I worry when the cats try to catch them. Same with snakes, ours are not of much danger to humans but if the dog is with us I don't want snakes around.

I should say, we do not have big tornadoes here and small ones are very rare. So that makes storms much safer. It's mostly lightning that kills people or if someone is dumb enough to drive too fast in heavy rain.

Being alone.

It doesn't bother me at all that I might never marry or have a family of my own. I have zero inclination to have kids. I'm more open to the possibility of marriage in the future, but it's not that important to me.

I also don't mind going places (restaurants, shopping centers, movies, etc.) alone. Going with someone else is okay, and often fun, but I don't need it for every time I go out.
Thanks for this!

Rats and mice. I love rodents. Preferably rodents that I already know are in the room (pet guinea pig) but I don't get grossed out or scared when I see a wild rat.

I'm definitely not afraid of thunderstorms and I'm not afraid of water or drowning. I was a swimmer for a long time. I am however terrified of sinking and sunken ships.

Besides that I can't really think what I'm not afraid of.

I'm not scared of needles, blood, or Black Widow Spiders (see them daily when I'm home in Mexico).
