Kind of urgent!

So I'm currently at a birthday party for my aunt and theres so many people here.
There's food available and I've been eating a little trying to keep myself calm, but my stomach just feels sick now. This happens a lot when I get anxious and I end up with my digestion getting messed up. (feeling nauseous, getting diarrhea, gagging etc.) I'm not eating now because I'm worried I'll get sick,

But if anyone knows some quick remedies for nervous stomach it would be greatly appreciated! I don't want to spend my night sitting in the bathroom. If I still feel icky in another few minutes I may just leave. But if you guys could give me suggestions it would be greatly GREATLY appreciated!!

Sorry to hear you're having trouble When I'm super anxious, my stomach does the same thing. I second the hot tea idea; hot chocolate and a few minutes of quiet seem to help me a bit. Hope you feel better soon

I have this issue big time. Vomiting used to be part of a birthday party routine for me and I had a job where i had diarrhea M- F from 8 am until noon.

My saving grace is ranitidine. It's an over the counter reflux medication. I tried chewable Tums, but that just gave the vomit a fruity flavor, which although it was an improvement, it still wasn't fun. Anyway, the doc recommended ranitidine and i have tried others that didn't help, this usually stops it.

I also drink tea and avoid fast food, greasy foods, and excessively salty foods, as they will also cause the vomiting/diarrhea. For me dairy helps and if you do vomit anyway, it cuts back on the burn a bit. Sometimes plan carbs- like a little bread with nothing on it- will help in situations such as yours.

I hope it works out for you, I know all too well how much it sucks.

Thanks all so much for the suggestions!
I'' definitely going to try these next time I'm in this situation. I ended up leaving the party early.
I am definitely going to look into Imodium and ranitidine! I think if hot tea and other things don't work to keep me from getting sick, then I'll give those a try.
