I got a call tonight from a company I applied for a job at for an interview tomorrow I have not worked since September 2012 and feel like I have screwed up every interview I have been on since. I know I am very good at what I do, but I feel like I come across as a total idiot in interviews. I have been on my AD meds for 3 weeks now and I have already noticed a difference. I hate relying on my husband for money and I really think that I would be better off keeping busy at a job than sitting home all day, but I worry about starting a new job and meeting new people and what they will think about me. When I started my last job, (which I had for 7 yrs) my co-workers thought I was a b**** until they got to know me and knew I wasn't being stuck up....just extremely shy. Ugh.. I am going to try to not worry about it too much and just go with the flow. Wish me luck.

Loads of luck to you!! I'll be in the same boat in a couple weeks, hopefully (with finding another employment) ... I'm too poor to stay home but in any case I would go stir crazy! lol

I'll keep you in my thoughts!

Just a year off work? You can overcome that. I believe most people could; I believe you can. Just do your best, be friendly when you get the job, used relaxed alertness. If the interview doesn't go as you wish, be kind to yourself. I am rooting for you.

this might sound silly but can you pretend you are not shy for a little while? in any case, try not to dwell on being shy. and good luck!!

@stuck in a rut: I like your self sufficiency type of attitude that you don't want to rely on your husband's money and instead you want to do something by your own. That is the sign of strength, willingness and honest courage to do something good. If you have confidence that you know your stuff regarding your task/job then be sure you'll surely find the job you want one day. I hope you've got the job you applied for.
