I'm having real bad anxiety. I gotta go to my bank today because I'm already behind on my mortgage and I need to go in to talk to someone about my options. I'm scared, but I know it'll get worse if I ignore it (which is what I'm used to doing).

Well, guess what happened!!!!! I went into the bank yesterday to try to work something out with them as far as my mortgage. I found that they just decided to "overdraw" my savings account for the past due amount, then put a lock on my checking so I can't take any money out and any of the checks I have already written won't be cashed, etc! They did this completly without telling me first--the only reason I found was because I had to go in there in person. They had sent me a notice giving me until 4 p.m. yesterday to contact them to work something out--I went in there about 11 a.m. and found out that they had already done that. I had tried several times to call them over the phone but I couldn't get through to anyone because they changed their system and it messed everything up! is what they did even legal? Can they do that without telling me first?

I know once, overdrawn, until money is added in, there's nothing you can do, with the account. They aren't going to overdraft, you, which is ok fees wise, maybe, depending on the fact, that you won't know, who went to cash their checks, and it could take them a bit, to hear from you, then you may, in turn owe them fees.
With banks, if there's no money, everything seems fair game, with them.
Stinks, they couldn't work, something out with you, but they are what they are, unable to reverse things, even if by their error.
Sounds like a tight month. Hope you are able to get by,
