I have anxiety and panic attacks, but a lot of the time the anxiety is present for most of the day, with waves of stronger anxiety, it's always about what I haven't done in life or missed out on and now feel it's too late, and a fear of dying from anxiety. What do any of you do to help alleviate that anxiety when it's not just an "attack" but a constant?

I know how you feel. I deal with the anxiety daily. I will tell you it is not as bad as it was several months ago. I was on edge everyday. Not it might be a couple of times a week. I did do CBT therapy which was a godsend. I also have worked on positive affirmations and I do things to keep my mind occupied. There are times that it comes on at full force and I feel like I can't get away but I work through it. I try to distract myself with something. Anything that will challenge my mind. It is not easy but once you can start questioning the thoughts that cause you anxiety or fear and start to see that the thoughts have no real reason to be scaring you that is when you will be able to start gaining real control. I hope you feel better.

I used to have anxiety about not going to college or getting a good job but now I have done both and I get so afraid that I am going to fail. So of course I feel like I will be fired or embarrassed because I cannot handle stress anymore. I try to deal with it by talking about it or writing in a journal. It has helped.
