I have never liked using them, video calls, Skype etc. I don't know why I hate cams in general, be it webcam or cams for taking photos, it bugs me because if I was older I could understand that fear of tech stuff but I am 26 like.. I thought people my age were meant to grasp all tech stuff as soon as it is released, maybe I am old fashioned. If someone takes a photo of me it just makes me feel very ill and sick inside, I hate the thought that I cannot control the situation, I feel so angry that I want to take the camera off the person and smash it off the ground, I feel like people should never take a photo of you without permission, and I'd like to see the photo after it is taken to see if I want it erased or not. I just cannot do the webcam, it makes me feel so low in myself and I'd feel worse after it, it makes no sense.

I think it comes from the fear of how we will be preceived. I'm like you I like to control what pictures of me or kept and which are deleted. There are some (most) photos I hate of me. With video there is more chance of unflattering footage. It doesn't make me ill but it sure does bother me.

I think I completely agree with gayleggg, and also am a similar way.
