I tried so hard to do my best, but my family visited for my birthday and It was....overwhelming. What I hate about being nuts? Is how it affects my family. Screw my neighbors. He!l with my employer. I can't go to walmart without flaking out and embarrssing my family? THE WORST. Day. Ever.

Yes, and that's what hurts me so much...I'm taking my meds, going to intensive outpatient treatment, have had a breakthrough in PTSD, and still got insanely paranoid just....shopping at Walmart with my family. I thought I'd pass out, I was so scared.

Edit: I got thru it, but a victory dance? Anything but. Will I ever be " me" Again ???

nummy, please don't be too hard on yourself. Even people without a history of anxiety disorders can freak out during family visits. You are making progress--and you will be okay!
Thanks for this!
