I just went back into retail after not working as a sales associate in 7 years. Haven't worked at all in 3 years. Anyways. back in the old days whenever I got put on register I would have panic attacks. Something about handling other peoples money just set me off every time. But I just had register training and a couple hours of assisting guests for real on them on Thursday and I didn't have a single panic attack! I don't know if it's the years of therapy I've had in between those years, that my meds are nearly sorted out, or just that these registers are so much newer technology that's more intuitive, but I was so happy that I made it through. Just wanted to share my good news with people that would understand what a victory it was!
