I have terrible dental anxiety and it's killing me. I don't mean the fear of going to the dentist. I mean the feeling where you feel like your teeth your mouth is all crumbling down. It's somewhat scary. I have had considerable cavities, root canal lots of gun problems. Bad experiences with dentists that overtreat. It's just terrible. Anybody else go through it? Feel like my dentist can't handle my anxiety.

I used to work in a dental office. We used to give our patients something if they were stressed out about being in the office. I held many of hands and helped many get through their visit to the dentist. If you think your dentist can't handle your anxiety, I might consider finding a new dentist if it were me. Now days the ones I have been to have been very pain less and understanding. I am a big baby when it comes my turn to sit in the chair!

As older people get into their elder years, I heard it is normal for people to dream and worry about losing their teeth. I just had 3 more teeth pulled this week. All my front teeth have been pulled with several visits to the dentist. I wish they'd just pull them all out, and I wont have to worry bout'em. I was full of anxiety with no sleep for a couple days. Twice last week I was up a day and a half. Just couldn't sleep, worrin'. I slept good last night finally. So it goes...

The one thing I dislike about going to the dentist is feeling vulnerable when I get reclined in the chair.

Absolutely, to the health anxiety; it's driving me crazy. Having a bad few days, lately, with it. Freaking out about... things.

Dental anxiety is the most common problems which is faced by most of the peoples reasons may behind it may be fear of pain, fear of injections, or embarrasment. To over come dental anxiety many patients find these methods:
1. Psychological – the way the dental practitioner acts and conveys, and particular methods dental specialists can use to offer assistance 2. innovation and devices – new and not really new creations which can make dental treatment more agreeable 3. sedation – utilizing medications to make you feel better |

Yeah I get anxiety because of my teeth sometimes, and being at the dentist. Does anybody else hate the smell of a dentist? Gives me the chills! I also get anxiety whenever a doctor takes my blood pressure or heart rate at a hospital.
