I need to know "details" of things always. Do you think this is an anxiety thing, or a personality trait/interest. Have always been like this (needing to know). What do you think?

If it becomes obsessive in nature, would it lean more towards OCD tendencies? Triggered by your anxiety of course.
Thanks for this!

Knowing the details of things is something I need to know. In my case, it makes me feel like I have more control over the situation and feel there’s less chance of anything getting out of control or of hurting me. Best wishes.
Thanks for this!

My personality is strongly neurotic, and I'm also just a plain curious person. I also (obviously because I'm here) have anxiety issues. The combination of the two can be rather unfortunate at times.

Fortunately, I can mostly sort my emotions fairly easily on this stuff and perceive when I'm anxious/fearful or just interested (maybe a little obsessive ). It depends on the situation.

So, I guess my advice would be to "check your gut" and see how it feels.
Thanks for this!

Thank you for your comments everyone. Just trying to figure things out. My gut feeling is that it's just me, curious and interested. Another part of me does wonder though how it might relate to my anxiety. I know I hate, and I'm afraid of, feeling out of control at any time.
