I knew that my teeth in the upper back were a bit used since the paste is old and I haven't have gone to the dentist in years. I have noticed while eating certain things that were hard were a bit discomfort, but no pain and just now i was eating pizza and one of my teeth came out all of the sudden. I feel scared and sort of anxious because I'm 29. I don't know if that's normal....

I had an upper molar crumble out of my mouth around your age, maybe a year or two older. Like you I had not been going to the dentist...it was a bit of a wake up call even though it still took me another fifteen or so years to really start going regularly.

I don't remember how I felt about it at the time...surprised for sure, I was eating a cookie when it happened.

My teeth were in terrible shape by my early 20s. I'd rather not give details, but they're still crumbling/breaking/and worse. I'm going to a dentist in just 2 days and I'm petrified.

Can you schedule an appointment with your dentist to take care of this tooth and get the others checked out? 29 does seem young to have this problem. Best wishes.

Try and bite the bullet and go to the dentist.... the thing with teeth is the longer you delay often the problems worsen and cost increases. I don’t know anyone likes going to the dentist.... I certainly don’t and it makes me anxious but not as bad as some people experience for example my friend has to take a Valium before going to dentist!!! The thing is your teeth are really important and are important for your health.... hope I don’t sound too motherish Good luck

Thank you. I agree with the others, please go to the dentist. If you start taking good care of your teeth now, it will help a lot. Also, look into "oil pulling" (I think that's what it's called). When you go to the dentist, they might write you a short term quantity of valium, so that you're not too afraid.
