Hi Al. Driving anxiety is very common, I have it myself. Sometimes I am fine for 10 mins then I start to feel like theres a weight on my chest. Then the fear is of not being able to breathe. It gets worse if I avoid driving so dont do that. It helps me to remind myself I have never been in an accident and only had one speeding ticket. I tell myself I am a good driver and so am in no danger. It might help you to distract yourself with music too. best of luck!

For anxiety I'm on zoloft and ativan. I used to have the same driving anxiety. To be honest, I have anxiety about everything and have to be medicated.

I have a lot of trouble with driving too. And then there has to be all those hostile, aggressive drivers who want to honk and yell at you if you don't hurry up and pull out when there are cars coming. What- do they want you to pull out and get hit for their personal amusement? And to top it off I need glasses really bad but cannot afford them. I am so afraid I'm going to have a wreck that's my fault and the vehicle I have access to does not belong to me. I wish my daughter would learn to drive and be my chauffeur!
