Good afternoon everyone

I have a friend who has social phobia and for years iv been trying to help him get out and break the cycle of sitting at home and not doing anything and then getting down because he's not been getting out. Im going to be honest, I dont understand the phobia and I was hoping I could get him one here and maybe start to improve by using pc. Ive only just started pc myself and i was hoping i could ask people who know better then me if there is a good way to encourage him to get involved?

well if you don't mind showing him your account log on with him and show him all pc has to offer. bring him to the anxiety forum and show him some of the posts so he can see that he is not alone. just so you know anxiety is very complex. I suffer from it. take meds even but I just cant get out as much as I want to. cant even go to a fast food restaurant. I have sat and cried in my car after work because I have wanted to grab a burger so bad but I couldn't make myself drive to the next parking lot over to buy it. my anxiety was just too bad. I know it is RIDICULOUS. but I still cant get out. your mind visualizes all kinds of awful things happening and it is just ingrained in you that you cannot do it. you need to stay safe at all cost. anyway, good luck with your friend.
