Ive been getting migraines which I have never had before. I have more anxiety in my life again with work starting back up. Im also bipolar which anxiety is part of the evil circle.
Do you get migraines with your anxiety and what do you do or take for it? What do you take as far as medication the pdoc gave you. Is there any that has few side effects?

My migraines definitely swing with my anxiety, along with a host of other variables. They fluctuate from occurring between 30% and 70% of the time depending on time of year, and whether I'm spending a significant amount of time under fluorescent lighting, or in the sun, etc etc. Summers are especially rough for me with all the extreme temperature changes between air-conditioned and non-air-conditioned areas.
The only thing I ever took for my longstanding migraines that I remember being especially kind by way of side effects was Amitriptyline (aka Elavil), which is actually a tricyclic anti-D, but which really softens the blow of migraines for a lot of people, myself included. It's years since I took it, but I remember finding the effects really helpful. What I use now is Imitrex, which is a triptan that I don't notice any side effects from except for feeling a bit "spent" after taking it.. but it's the only thing that works for me these days. I'd actually tried it a few times years ago with no luck, and now it all of a sudden this decade it does work for me. It's not meant to be taken all the time though so I do my flawed best to figure out when I will most benefit from being generally out of pain, basically scheduling my own suffering. Sad. Hopefully you are making out at least better than me! I also hear good things about MaxAlt, from friends; it never worked for me but I guess everyone's different. Good luck.

I get migraines with nausea and a thumping headache on one side of my head and sometimes my stomach gets really upset too. I just feel really out of it and hyper sensitive to everything, light, noise... just moving is too much.
I take something called Migraleve which has Buclizine for nausea and codeine for pain. Can be addictive so dont take it for more than a day or two but really works. You can just look for something with those two ingredients and should help. I'm not on any other meds at the moment though so check with the doc before taking anything.
