My social anxiety is giving me hell right now. Hell. Honestly, studying is so difficult right now that sometimes I even question why I'm at university (though I really want to study). I feel like I can't do this. Thinking about the presentation tomorrow makes me want to throw up, curl up into a ball and disappear.

I feel so worthless.

Can you talk to your teacher and possibly present it to her after class? I think it works more in high school. Try not to look at the people in class when you are presenting. I think chewing gum helps with the nerves. Practice what you are going to say the night before.

You're not worthless!!

You're not worthless; you'd probably be worth at least three goats.

I tried but it didn't work out this time. 2.5 hours left until I have to present (I'll be talking for about 15 minutes). I feel nauseous.

I also get serious anxiety attacks and some times panic attacks. The best advise I can give you is don't forget how to breath! Breath! Take in some air and let it out. Hold it in for few seconds before you let it out. This actually releases some chemicals in the brain to help ease anxiety. The other thing to remember is the people in your class are just a quick blimp in your radar. They really don't matter that much in your life. And worse case scenario is you may be too nervous and some people may find that funny which is ok because all do stupid stuff some times and it's forgotten the next day. Oh, almost forgot, drink plenty of water too! We all feel worthless, that's the lie anxiety tries to sell us. Good Luck!

I totally agree with above post ! I'm still suffering from this sort of anxiety and I think drinking some water before those moments and sloooow deep breaths help a lot. Try avoiding drinks full of sugar such as coca cola, carbonated drinks and too much caffeinated drinks. At least in my experience these drinks make me even worse.and by the way you are not worthless ! And don't let the others to judge you! Most of them are worse than you and just hide their true anxiety by slagging you in front of people. Life is beautiful My social anxiety is giving me hell.
