Calling in sick isn't an option for me. I work one-to-one with a child, so if I'm not there it will cause big problems either trying to find someone to take over or telling the parents their child can't attend the setting that day.

I'm sorry you are so stressed. Do you think you could do some relaxation techniques today to help with the anxiety? There are several online ones that might help especially any that deal with controlled breathing.

Try and calm yourself down. What was the trigger for your anxiety? What do you fear at work? Try to identify the triggers related to your work place and try to build a strategy for reducing your anxiety.

Calling sick every time you feel anxious is clearly not an option, instead try to fight it in the right way, with the right "tools".

Take care!
