Sometimes, it feels as though life is moving too quickly for me to process. For example, when listening to a conversation, the slightest distraction causes you to miss what has been said. You frantically try to regain focus, obsessing about what was previously said, causing a vicious cycle of panic. Does this state ever subside? |

MMalguy, Hello and welcome to PC. I am sorry to hear that you are having problems concentrating and also having feelings of panic. That is very frustrating to deal with. Have you had this problem checked by a doctor? It could be many things causing this. I hope that you get this straightened out soon. To answer your question, there is always hope that there is a remedy to your problem. No worries.

Welcome to Psych Central. Sorry to hear you have been through situations where you are losing focus. That happens to all of us. When I react to it in an anxious way I find it is even more difficult. Sometimes I tell the person "lost my train of thought...what were we talking about?" I probably would not do this with my boss because I try to keep impression I keep things under control.
You are not alone. There are many nice, caring people here.
