that falls under the anxiety disorders in the dsm iv, i'll change the title should i need to.

social anxiety/phobia is valid, right? it sounds silly but i have a habit of tricking myself into believing things and i keep tricking myself into believing i am faking this???? i mean i am already a very anxious person, and i have a hard time when interacting with other people. its not diagnosed as anything but i know it is some form of anxiety

i'm really sorry if this is pointless. it just makes me feel better knowing

Hello queenofmemes, yes anxiety disorders are very real. Here's a link about social anxiety Social Anxiety Overview | Psych Central there is also an anxiety quiz on that page. It is often part of our disorder to think it's fake. Go and see your doctor ok, as there are treatments that can help.

It sounds like anxiety to me. I'm not a professional but if you are feeling anxious due to social interaction then I would think it would be considered a social anxiety issue. I don't think that you would trick yourself into believing this to be a problem if it wasn't.

There are many anxiety disorders and social phobias are very real, I have one myself. I am scared to death by the thought of having to interact with other people. If you feel anxious alot and have are uncomfortable talking to other people id say you might have a social anxiety issue.
