Hey everyone,
This is an ongoing issue that I believe is associated with my anxiety. Tell me if im wrong. I just feel "out of it" all the time. It almost feels like i'm in a dream and can't snap out of it. I sometimes wonder if what's going on around me is really happening because I feel so strange to say the least. Is this a symptom of anxiety? BTW I have GAD and PD and i'm not taking medication.

(((TCFlecke))) I think anxiety, if severe enough, can cause psychosis. Psychosis distorts reality. Do you feel your able to function without medication? Are you comfortable with the level of your anxiety?

Sounds like dissociation. It happens with anxiety disorders like PTSD and other mental disorders as well.

I wouldn't say it's psychosis, just normal depersonalization/derealization. having this too sometimes and i know many ppl with anxiety disorder who 'disconnect'. my doc said that when brain can't handle anxiety and panic just kind of turns off by itself, and goes into this state. try meditation, breathing exercises, and don't be scared of it, I think more you're scared of feeling like it gets heavier
