I am 22 years old male. I`m in love with the girl who was my classmate at school. I fell in love with her after school, about 2 years ago. but I haven`t told her about my feelings. And we only meet 1-2 times a year when my classmates organize something.
The problem is whenever wherever I see her, I literally shiver, my voice starts to tremble, I don`t know what to do to fix it, please help me |

Qaraqan, Hello and welcome to PC.
It is ok, you obviously like her a lot. That is normal. I think it will take time to build up confidence in yourself. I would practice saying what you want to say to her in the mirror. It may help relieve some of your anxiety in the mean time. Don't be afraid of your nervousness as we all have it. Even she has it. You are human. If you need any help in navigating this site feel free to contact a community liaison or moderator. Best wishes here at PC. |

I can relate. Once I was on a date and I had to excuse myself to the bathroom to throw up from anxiety. I didn't know anything about panic attacks as a condition and instead just blamed myself for being shy. Man, if only I had gone to a doctor- which you can do ! They can give you a script for a medication such as Ativan which will stop panic in its tracks. It takes some learning to get the right amount at the right time. Too much and you'll be a sleepy and dull social companion. Get it just right and you can make it through those awkward moments and hopefully on to a nice relationship.
Good luck! |

Qaraqan, do you keep in contact with the girl through social media? Do you live far away from her? Are you planning to see her soon?

Qaraqan, I wish you good luck when you see her in person in a month! Meanwhile are you talking with her through Facebook often? Do you find that the more you communicate with her, even if it's just texting, that your anxiety decreases, at least a little bit? The more you two get to know each other the less anxious you could be about seeing her face-to-face, possibly.
