I have had panic attacks and anxiety before but it has never been an everyday thing. Since Wednesday I have been anxious all day ( i calm down at times but then I get anxious again). There are like 10-20 minutes where it is like really bad but I am anxious for hours at a time some days. Has this happened to anyone, where it's an all day everyday thing? I feel like I'm going crazy

It really depends on my mood state, and yes there have been times where I was anxious for an extended period of time. Is there anyone that you can talk to at home that may be able to help you relieve these anxiety symptoms? Or some calming activities you can do that may curb the symptoms?

mydailybattle16 Hello and welcome to PC.
I am sorry to hear about your panic attacks and anxiety. This can happen to anyone. Have you seen a doctor or therapist about these attacks? It would be a good idea as they could give you something for this and they need to know. Anxiety and panic does make one feel like they are going crazy but it is not permanent and it will go away. If you need any help about how to navigate this site feel free to contact any community liaison or moderator. Best wishes here at PC. |

Welcome to Psych Central. Sorry to hear you are having high anxiety levels. One thing to do is ask your psychiatrist to look at your med levels and see if adjustments or change needed. If you need an emergency prescription, I would contact pdoc and ask for emergency appointment as soon as their office opens.
Feel free to private message me or any community liason by left clicking on their name underlined in blue to the left of the post and selecting Send a private message to .....[their name]. We are here to listen. You sound like you have anxiety a lot. Finding ways to have down time - sleeping extra helps for me. I have had some results with peppermint and chamomile tea. I have good results with this breathing exercise. Breathing exercise - use natural breathing do not force. If you are feeling very anxious or angry or just want to calm down, you can try a breathing exercise that takes the attention away from the trigger of anxiety to a simple tool of counting breaths. Find a comfortable position seated or la[/quote]ying down. Begin to relax your breathing. Silently count 1 on the inhale, and two on the exhale. Then silently count 3 on the inhale and 4 on the exhale. Continue up to 10 or until you lose the count then return to one. No judgement. I sometimes end up at 18 then smile and return to 1. The idea is to focus on the breath and the counting and not get sucked into the anxiety or anger trigger. Also works to quiet the mind. You are not alone. There are many nice, caring people here. There are many forums here at Psych Central http://forums.psychcentral.com After 5 posts you can do the Chat Room Forums at Psych Central - Calendar I try to get exercise, yoga and other gentle stretching exercises and meditation to help me get started in the morning.

Reflecting back, kind of wish I'd been under the care of a psychiatrist, when in college. Yes, anxiety was an overwhelming experience. It's something over-time, that can be worked through with therapy and medications combined.
Keeping a journal is another thing, that can help. Also, keeping tabs on sleep and nutrition. Students tend to lose out on the sleep aspect, and anxiety feeds off lack of sleep. Plus, school is a stress in and of itself. Not just grades, but social aspects, and worries about future, and wracking up debt is its own stress. Feel free to reach out to others, as you may have further anxiety moments. Sometimes a knowing person, can just help guide you through, without fear of judgment nor social repercussion. ![]() Sent from my LGMS323 using Tapatalk |
