I'm afraid that if this new job doesn't work out I'll have lost my last chance to ever make a difference with my life. I'm also afraid that I will never get to do my shop work again (I like working with wood and building furniture) I'll end up at some dead end job where I'm nobody.

Have you started the new job yet? How is it going if you have?

I hope the new job works out for you. And that you will be able to work in your shop work again, too. Good luck.

I start the 12th, I'm going to teach middle school and high school science and shop. Both of my parents were teachers (retired now) and I want this to work out, but I feel so much pressure.

Oh! I am excited for you! Well, it is absolutely normal to feel apprehensive before starting any new job. Tell yourself that this is normal to feel this way and you are bound to feel anxious for the first few months in the job also. I have a feeling you are going to do just fine!
