I read online that doubting one's memory and perception is a symptom of OCD. I have that where I doubt my memories. I think that someone hypnotized me to have me think that I had thoughts that didn't happen. I know these memories are false. Why do mental health workers give you false memories?

Sometimes you can't see or comprehend what you say or do and another person can point it out and see the underlying issue...if that makes any sense?

I can confirm throughout the years definitely having perception problems, & also memory problems/doubts... or something, particularly pertaining to very stressful memories.

But I don't understand exactly what you're referring to. I don't attribute these things to OCD (which I've had since childhood), but more to the original Asperger's from childhood, with the panic disorder resulting from abuse then & PTSD beginning after a criminal attack at age 16. It's "normal" to doubt yourself when you have such things.

But, why do you believe you've been hypnotized? What are the false memories the mental health care workers gave you?
