Hi,
Thank you, once again, for your patience in reading this wall of text. Recently, for a few years now, I've been having racing thoughts every single minute of the day. Whatever I'm doing, no matter how distracting it might be, I keep thinking that I have something else to do. It feels as if I'm racing throughout the day. I'm on Paxil 20mg and don't have panic attacks. However I feel that my anxiety hasn't been worse as it is now, even my friends keep calling me a stressed person. What can I do, pharmacologically and behaviorally to change this? I'm currently in an awesome job, despite it being a callcenter job, and I don't want to ruin promotion opportunities because I'm perceived as a stressed person. I keep having existential questions pop in my mind, despite me not wanting to think about it. Help me? Thank you. |

Hi Iowamc. Sorry you are suffering from racing thoughts. Here are some tips at PsychCentral.com
https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=...02022582,d.cWw My own way to calm myself is to Breathe naturally, silently counting 1 on the inhale, 2 on the exhale, 3 on the inhale, 4 on the exhale, continuing in this pattern up to 10. Then start at 1 again. __________________ Super Moderator Community Support Team "Things Take Time" |
