My husband is well aware that my anxiety levels are through the roof. He made me a docs appointment for this morning (I asked him to) and picked up my meds for me this afternoon.
Why then, if he knows I'm in a bad way, can't be be supportive? He just keeps pointing out that I'm acting horrid and offering no love at all. How do you ask for help when the anxiety is so high you're cranky and short tempered? He just makes it worse then when I'm feeling better says he loves me and would do anything for me? Any advice would be great. Thank you. |

I'm sorry that you're suffering.
Maybe you can write what you want to say on paper? |

Thanks Kindness, I did that just before leaving for work. It was a hard thing to do - get ready, go out etc when the anxiety was leading to depression (or other way around? No idea...). He asked me if I wanted a cigarette (Yes, I know, shouldnīt smoke...) and I didnīt honestly care. My mind was so stressed that I couldnīt make a decision. He laughed and called me an idiot so I wrote everything down and left it on a notepad open on the computer for him to read. Heīs asleep now that Iīve come home (I work nights as an entertainer) so tomorrow I will find out if it helped or not.
It certainly made me feel better getting to express myself without the eye rolls, tutting and name calling. I get itīs hard for him but I know deep down he wants to help. |
