Gosh going into yesterday I was really beating myself up with a great deal of anxiety.
I experienced plenty of negative self talk, and catasrophizing, and black and white thinking. But, I did it. I managed to spend the day surrounded by people - including some old friends and aquaintances I was terrified I might run into. (This all related to Remembrance Day services - 9,000 people + 1000 military on parade, followed by a lengthy visit to a standing room only Legion. As a former Vet, my loyalty to this day far out weighed my anxiety that almost prevented me from attending) Forcing myself out despite my crippling worry was a positive thing. I'm wondering if others out there have stories of forcing themselves out or to do something and not letting their anxiety win |

I've forced myself to go places with my best friend before, even though my anxiety was really bad. Having her there made me feel a bit better.

I force myself to go out in spite of the anxiety quite a bit. Sometimes it's a good thing and sometimes not. But I'm always glad when I win the battle.
Good for you. I'm glad things went well for you. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
