I have severe anxiety issues, and I find it hard to even tell people close to me simple things such as, "Hey, I'm going to the movies". I try breathing exercises, but it doesn't always help.
I had a panic attack recently over something some would deem ridiculous, but was absolutely terrifying and difficult for me. I'm sure this has been mentioned many times before, but I would appreciate suggestions of calming my anxiety and dealing with panic attacks.

Maybe try spotting 5 things you see, hear, like, etc. or scribbling on a piece of paper on bright colours? Is there any music you could listen to if it helps?

The breathing exercises help me a bit, I've also tried just putting things into perspective. Asking myself "Am I in danger? No. Am I under pressure right now? No." stuff like that, just to try to reassure myself that there's nothing to be anxious about. It helps a bit.
