(I made a short post about this elsewhere and had several people ask about it)

There seems to be some positive thinking out there about essential oils and aromatherapy. Maybe there is something to it. Maybe it's all in my head. Either way it is working for me and has become part of my daily practise to calm my nerves. I've had a turbulant month and believe that the aromatherapy was a big part of my coping and reducing what would otherwise have been a very difficult time. Without it I think I would have given up and allowed anxiety to take over and render me helpless. At any rate, I end up with a very pleasant smelling home.

There are a lot of oils out there - make sure you look for essential oils and not scented oils. There are some retailers that sell the later as therapy products. Essential oils can be found in most natural food stores and through online distributors (which is my route).

Many you can place on your skin directly. I use a diffuser.

Those I wouldn't do with out are Peppermint, Thieves, and Lavender.
