yesterday and all last night my heart was pounding in my chest like I was out doing excercising and I was just sitting most of the evening with friends. I have palpitations now and then but this lasted for hours and I was so worried I couldn't sleep till the wee hours. Is this just all anxiety that's physical or is it something else, does anybody else have this last for hours on end it is very troubling and scary plus now today my chest is a little sore from all the pounding I guess...just need to know if anyone has been there...god bless

I tend to have a really good memory...just really short...so please forgive me...

Was the excercising more than usual? Are you currently being treated for anxiety?

My anxiety is more in term of general and agitation...There are others here that experience probably something more similiar...

chichi....it's unnerving when that happens ok...so I

Until you know for sure that it's an anxiety issue and that's how your body reacts to it, it might be a good idea to have a physcial exam by a doc. Rule out anything else that it could be would be the way to go as far as I see it.

Good luck!

the visit was a nice visit...I did drink alcohol but it started earlier that day. I have told my doc but she just says it's anxiety and tells me keep taking your meds. I asked her if I could get some blood work done and she agreed, I also have high blood presssure and now that I think of it it has been a little more stressful at home...my hubbies mom had a mild heart attack but she's ok now. I just don't like feeling my heart, it takes my breath away sometimes. I worry and my doc said we are not going to do all sorts of tests..but I guess she's the doc and she knows....right?
