Who here feels their anxiety physically?

I usually react to bad anxiety with severe stomach pains and sudden diarrhea. On ocassion I deal with nausea too. These are felt during triggered episodes - oftten when I feel uncomfortable or trapped in a situation. They are not my experiences when I have all out anxiety attacks.

For example, last night at support group someone brought up situations in their workplace which triggered my PTSD. Immediately I was sick as a result.

The Skeezyks has struggled with anxiety for a lifetime... since infancy... (if stories his mother told him were accurate.) Over the years, as a adult, there would be times when his anxiety would become so extreme that his legs would shake & almost buckle & his throat would tighten to the degree that he found it difficult to speak... plus many other little physical manifestations that would come-&-go.

At this point, the Skeezyks is a solitary old man. So he has little to be anxious about. But his lifetime of anxiety has left him riddled with generalized anxiety that never goes away. As a result, his whole body reverberates with a low-grade nervous tension 24/7 that spikes at the merest provocation.

I'm having wobbly legs, or locked legs, at the stairs where I live now. So now I really can't get out (agoraphobic for about 9 years), and the evil people here still try to provoke me to anger and panic, and I can't search for some place else to live. Of course I also breathe very shallowly due to COPD, and I have vertigo and horrible tinnitus, all since I was forced off of benzos in 2013. The rebound anxiety only got much worse.
ETA: I had diarrhea last summer when I first started going back out to the clinic, and it always feels like it will strike on days I'm supposed to go anywhere.

My face gets extremely flushed. Usually, by the end of whatever is going on, I'm so exhausted that I need a nap.

That feeling when you are leaning your chair back, right when you lean too far and start to fall backwards. That feeling all day every day. GAD makes it difficult to go on.

It would take me a long time to describe all the physical symptoms . There are even different physical reactions to different situations. It's really a reaction to stress more than anxiety. Confrontation with a customer, feeling embarrassed about saying something stupid, conflict with certain relationships. The pain is severe and I think it's done permanent damage now to me internally (my digestive system, esophagus ).

Frequently, I feel sick to my stomach and have headaches. At times, I get eye twitches. I also have a skin disorder that I believe was brought on by anxiety. It started when I went through a stressful time.

My anxiety physically manifests in many ways. I have psoriasis that majorly flares up when I'm having a period of particularly bad anxiety. My stomach tightens up, I get nauseous, I feel faint, the heart races, my blood feels like it is running cold, and my body stiffens up. On occasion, I'm not able to move during my anxiety attacks because of the stiffness in my muscles.

Thanks everyone. There is a 'sensory' support group in my community apparently. My psychiatrist believes it is for just this sort of thing - people who 'feel' their anxiety (and I suppose depression). He is checking into this and will refer me if it is appropriate.
Thanks for this!

I get chest pain, heart flutters, sometimes get a pain in the tips of my fingers, feeling nervous in my stomach. When it gets real bad I get really hot, especially in my head.
