so this never bothers me, and i have no idea why it suddenly is (i know from my last check of the weather report, we're in for a scorching hot summer)
anyway, the point is that i've been getting more and more in to soda- coke, dr pepper, that kind of stuff- and when i drink it, it seems to make me less thirsty than say juice or water (even though they are meant to be healthy choices) i can't help wondering if this summer i'm going to end up dehydrating. as i say, when i drink the soda i feel hydrated, but you hear all this stuff.. water's better for you, drink lots of water.. i just can't. i just don't ever feel i've drank enough if i'm drinking water anyway i'm just putting it out their- not entirely sure what kind of response i want, just speaking my mind i guess |

I have some thoughts about it.
![]() I would guess the soda is satisfying you more because of the sugar and caffeine along with the hydration it brings. Caffeine heightens my anxiety at times, so I drink decaffeinated tea or water. Water is definitely healthier because it doesn't have all the sugar and 'extras' that are in soda. |

Hi shattered sanity. For a few years now, I was only drinking regular soda. My favorite was Coca Cola and I drank close to two liters per day.
I knew this was contributing to my weight issues, so I treated myself to a good water filter pitcher, and since January, I'm mostly drinking cold filtered water. Maybe you could use a good water filter, to make water taste clean and refreshing. I sometimes add Lipton ice tea powder to a glass of water, or lemonade mix. It isn't like soda, but if I want to lose weight, I had to cut back on the soda. I wish you good luck. ![]() ![]() ![]() |
