I have had ECT before for major depression and now my psychiatrist is recommending it for the extreme anxiety I'm suffering from. Medication and therapy have failed miserably. I stay in bed all day. Has anyone had ECT for anxiety and what have been your experiences?

I am a caregiver of a person with depression and anxiety. They have some help from meds in terms of stabilizing them but mainly ECT brings them back and refresher ECT keeps them healthy (once a month) Memory issues are a side affect but worth discussing with PDOC ways you can deal with that.

PM me if you want to share more.

I was been in your situation and i was feeling very worse but someone tell me to try everytime to find positive emotions like love, gratitude enthuziasm ,hapiness etc and this destroy a litle the negative chemicals from anxiety and it helps .
