I decided to check out YouTube for videos on mental illnesses, anxiety, depression, etc. As I predicted I would, I found a lot of rude, nasty comments for the videos. I just hate how people who can't or don't understand have to say the cruelest things to people whose lives are difficult. One person posted, "God hates you."

Why are we the ones with mental illnesses and hard lives and not these jerks? Yeah, some of them might have hard lives, too, but they're still jerks.

No it doesn.t surprise me either. Mental illness is still very much misunderstood. Unfortunately, the stigma will probably always be around. Take heart though, and know that those who deal with mental illness are are usually stronger than they think!! TC.

It's always been easy for the bullies of the world to take on those who they think are below them.

I find it comes from complete lack of education and class for that matter. Ignorance is high on their list. So who are the ones who are worse off eh???

There's another video I saw, where these teenagers (I think they were teens, one boy and a girl) who are having fun at the expense of their elderly grandmother who has Alzheimer's and OCD, provoking her and tossing a shoe at her. You see them laughing in the video. It's called "Crazy Old Lady Strikes Back" or something. In fact, I just found it again...here it is, if you want to watch it:
