For years I have been dealing this anxiety disorder. I mean I heard it before " expose ur self to your deepest fear and you will be free. I tried it and at times I ended up a fool infront of people. is they not more to that. cause I think at times just brain chemistry, and people like me need serious help...what do you think?

Hello psycho-kid: Yes, I absolutely agree with what you wrote here. I did the same thing (for years) & had the same result!

I see this is your first post here on PC. So... welcome to PsychCentral… from the Skeezyks! I hope you find the time you spend here to be of benefit.

PsychCentral is a great place to get information as well as support for mental health issues. There are many knowledgeable & caring members here. The more you post, & reply to other members’ posts, the more a part of the community you will become. Plus there are social groups you can join & chat rooms where you’ll be able to connect with other PC members in real time (once your first 5 posts have been reviewed & approved.) Lots of great stuff! So please keep posting!

I had the exact experience as you.

Don't bother searching and hoping you can cure your deepest fear when you're not ready to face it. If you're not ready yet, it will only make you fear worse. So prepare yourself first, don't do fights that you know you won't win. but at the same time, try to think of a strategy to overcome your fears. Then fight it. But you also should know that this is like, sometimes you will feel better, sometimes you will feel worse. But that's just how it is. At the end of the day when you've overcome it, it's a very pleasing feeling.

And you don't always need to clear your fear alone, ask someone to help you, maybe a friend, family or a therapist can be helpful. You're not alone and there are also some people wanting to help you.

Goodluck.
Thanks for this!

Don't know if it will help, but when I found out my anxiety was
TRANSFERRED from my parents when a kid,to the world at
large,I was damned sure I wasn't going to put self through it a
SECOND TIME!
