I came down with bronchitis a couple of weeks ago, and I got a inhaler/spacer and antibiotics from my dr. Ever since then my thoughts have been very hateful. Not violent just mean thoughts, I'm getting agitated to.
Ever since my Pdoc put me on Paxil once a day and Ativan when I need it my moods been really stable...even happy sometimes. I don't know if the antibiotics or the inhaler, but I'm sleeping past my alarm too and that never happens. Can antibiotics make you sleep sounder? Luckily I only live two blocks away from my work so I have been making it in on time. I'm usually up at the crack of dawn enjoying a cup of coffee on my patio. Idk if I'm just still sick does this ever happen to anyone else? |

Hello dwfieldjr: The Skeezyks doesn't have any useful information with regard to this.
![]() ![]() My understanding has always been that antibiotics can make one more tired. But I've also read that it's not the antibiotics, it's the infection the antibiotics have been prescribed to fight. So I don't know... ![]() ![]() I don't know how long you've been on the Paxil & Ativan. But I've read about something called an "activiation syndrome" where a person can experience increased anxiety & even suicidal ideation upon starting a new antidepressant. Here's a link to a brief article on that subject: https://www.verywell.com/can-antidep...nxiety-1067346 Hope you begin feeling better soon ![]() ![]() |
