I want to get rid of my anxiety so much, I'm literally dying.
It all started when I moved to USA. I'm stressed because of my accent.I fear that people won't understand me or laugh at it. ![]() |

I'm sure moving to a new country is hard and would make anyone anxious. Are you getting counseling? It might help you get past your thoughts of other people's opinions of you. I know when I hear someone with a strong accent I don't judge, I just try to understand. I hope it gets better for you.

Depending on what part of the country you're in you can find Americans with thick accents too. Being in New York that is definitely true. Maybe if you can find friends from your country, or from that region, that would help. You can also work with a therapist who can help with your anxiety. More than likely, though, it's just going to take time and adjusting to your new surroundings.

I've noticed that most Americans find accents appealing and interesting.
