For a really long time I have been more reserved and introverted mainly because so many things made me anxious. Talking to new people made me anxious even if it was just to ask for something or maybe even starting to talk to someone that I haven't talked to in a while. Also, I experience this anxiety when I am told to go to volunteer work because I know there's going to be new people I am going to meet there. Usually I deal with this anxiety but keeping my head down and sticking to myself but it also really sucks because I miss the social interaction. I have brainstormed ideas that could make me less afraid in New social situations. I was thinking of brining a diary and something I can draw on. So at least if someone new talks to me I can talk to them about what I am doing and what I am drawing. Then just from what I am drawing it could lead to other avenues and topics to talk about.

Yeah, I have volunteer work tomorrow and I have to wake up earlier for it. I was trying before, to think about the other people's perspective how it's also new for them and that some of them are in the same situation as me not having work for ages. Needing to go to job interviews all the time. After understanding the others perspective and the bigger picture I felt better like I was really up to meeting and talking to people.
