I have been really stressed out and really sick lately so my stuttering has increased, it's embarrassing and frustrating when people pick on me or ask me to repeat something.. today I could hardly get any words out and I've been babbling on and on about how bad of a year I've been having should I just shut up?

I know what you mean. I stutter a lot too and it's kinda embarrassing and the people I talk to when it happens don't laugh it off they just glare at me like I just did something awful.

Don't shut up. My roommate has a very bad stutter at times (& he is a teacher & coach & damn good at both)---people who know will have the patience to wait for you to say what you want to/need to. Those who are rude, well, they are rude.

I'm sorry you're going through this.
Take a couple of very deep breaths when you feel like you're about to start stuttering to calm yourself down, and see if it helps.
